Upon entering St. Fidelis, several important aspects of your formation must be considered. The grounds of St. Fidelis Seminary encompass approximately 150 acres, translating to roughly 607,000 square meters. This expansive property provides a tranquil setting ideal for meditation and prayer, essential to a seminarian’s journey. Knowing the specific expectations that accompany your arrival at St. Fidelis is also important.

All students are required to surrender their cell phones to the rector. This practice is intended to foster detachment from material possessions. In a family emergency, please provide the school’s contact number to your family members so they may communicate with the rector.

The use of tobacco products, chewing betel-nut, and any form of trade are strictly prohibited on campus.

Certain areas of the campus are restricted after dusk.

All lights must be turned off by 9:30 PM.

The ocean is sufficiently clean and cool for swimming any time during the day; therefore, students are encouraged to bring appropriate swimwear.

The gardens are designated as community spaces and do not belong to any individual or province.

Given the prevalence of malaria, students are advised to avoid outdoor activities after 9 PM. The dormitories are equipped with mosquito screens, ensuring safety as long as the doors remain closed to prevent mosquito entry. It is essential to keep the entrance door to the dormitory closed at all times.

Each student will be assigned a locker for securing their valuables; it is mandatory to bring personal locks. Small padlocks may be purchased for a fee of 5 kina

Students should bring warm cotton clothing for cooler weather.

Students must wear black trousers and white long-sleeved shirts on Sundays.

Students must wear black trousers and white collared shirts during academic classes.

It is advisable to bring appropriate work attire.
